Wrongful dismissal and unfair dismissal are best treated seperately. From a Canadian perspective, the term "wrongful dismissal" is used to describe a specific type of legal claim under the common law. Thho2008 (talk) 02:56, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UK wrongful dismissal error

Hi @Arrlaw: Thanks for noticing my edit. You reverted the addition of a reference to what seems to be the lawyers most renowned reference book on Canadian dismissal law. the subjct of this page's section. You wrote:"References should support the article, and not be promotional".

Many wiki pages include references to other sources,books etc. It is helpful to the wiki reader to be informed of other, significant resources - I imagine we would be in agreement on that sub-point?

Would you be able to suggest a way the page can inform the wiki reader - but avoid your concern about being 'promotional'?

If other articles are being inappropriately used to promote books or other media, then the proper action to take is to correct the article.
References are provided to support the content of the article. If you have a reliable source that can be used in that manner, then cite the source in support of the content.
