The members of this commissions were never investigated in post-WWII Germany for their participation in the torture of the members of the Red Orchestra. [1]

Waldemar Lentz
Waldemar Lentz was member of the Sonderkommando, in Berlin he privately knew Schulze-Boysen, but he was not at all a resister. He had been arrested by the Gestapo and was soon freed after Wilhelm Vauck had supported him. Even for the Gestapo it was evident that there was no political relation between him and the Red orchestra, quite the contrary. Le Huic (talk) 14:05, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Le Huic: Yip, I just realised with your note, that is the wrong Lentz, possibly the even wrong name. Waldemar Lentz is a Gestapo guy who was arrested by the Gestapo for black market activity. I'm in the process right now, of reading about of the members of the Sonderkommando and he was a WT operator for the group. I think it may be Arvid Harnacks mate, the writer Friedrich Lenz who Tuchel is talking about. I don't know if its Tuchel who has made a mistake or I've made the mistake. Schulze-Boysen would almost certainly have known him. I will check it now. scope_creepTalk 15:21, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Le Huic: Tuchel does state it is Waldemar Lentz for some reason so I'll do a bit of research to find. I may be a simple lip on his part. I'll email him and find out and do some research in the meantime. scope_creepTalk 15:38, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- The difficulty is perhaps only the fact, that British and American sources often name both, the persecutors and the persecuted "Rote Kapelle".
- Waldemar Lentz knew Schulze-Boysen because Johannes Haas-Heye, the brother of Libertas Haas-Heye, the later spouse of Harro Schulze-Boysen, worked for him, as Lentz had been the leader of a department of the Großdeutscher Rundfunk. And as Lentz knew a few persons of the Rote Kapelle and knew Horst Heilmann, he was arrested. Le Huic (talk) 16:54, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Le Huic: It is a small world. I've emailed Tuchel as well. How do you think I should handle this, if at all. Possibly mention he was in the Gestapo? scope_creepTalk 17:14, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Le Huic: I've put in an efn tag with an explanation of who he was with a ref. That gives a better idea of who he was. scope_creepTalk 18:41, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Lentz was not in the Gestapo. From 1942 on, he was in the Referat Vauck, then in the Sonderkommando. See CSDIC-CMF CF 80, where he was convincing the British interrogator that he was a kindred spirit. Le Huic (talk) 07:17, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Le Huic: I've got that document. Its been about three years since I last looked at it. I will check it. I'll update the tag as per. scope_creepTalk 07:57, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Le Huic: I don't have that document. The doc I have is the CSDIC-CMF SD 80. Could you possible email me the "CSDIC-CMF CF 80" document if possible. Thanks. scope_creepTalk 12:38, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
