Addition of historical content to article

[edit]

Hello! I have made additions to the article to aid it's content (from Stub-class), with fully referenced detail concerning the eighteenth and nineteenth century fashion for, and production of, whitework embroidery pieces. This includes the inclusion of a section describing association of Ayrshire (and wider west of Scotland) with the embroidery technique, namely manufacture of whitework textile products. Further detail regarding technique and application has also been discussed.

Hope this aids the above noted WikiProjects - Textile Arts and Craft. Thank you! Diary of a Dress Historian (talk) 16:38, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
