According to the article "Thermal treatment" is "a term given to any waste treatment technology that involves high temperatures". It's a name given to any treatment of just about anything involving changed (usually elevated) temperatures; it's not in any sense limited to waste treatment. Baking ceramics in a kiln is "thermal treatment'. Come to that, baking loaves in an oven is "thermal treatment". Easing the pain of arthritic joints with a warm pack is ... thermal treatment. Shouldn't this this article be re-titled to something like "Thermal treatment of waste"? Tonywalton  | Talk 11:18, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
