Unique or not unique?
[edit]We're told that this rank exists in both the Indian and Pakistani armies... but then that the Indian army has a "unique set of ranks". So what about Pakistani subedars? If they have the mid-level ranks too, then they are not "unique" to India. 86.132.139.228 (talk) 19:36, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Re wrote and restructured in Military term
[edit]As there is already another page with reference to the historically equivalent term Subahdar which created confusion in this page, I removed the old usage, rewrote, corrected, and restructured the article to its modern usage, ie, as the military rank in both Indian and Pakistani armies and added needed links and refs.--India142 10:21, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
