Cantera's Other Meanings

[edit]

Cantera is also the name of an extremely useful open source chemical kinetics programming package managed by Dr. David Goodwin at UC Berkley.

"Cantera" in other countries

[edit]

Is there another name used for similar policies taken by clubs in other countries, for example Chivas's policy of taking only Mexican-born players? If there is, then the article should link to the appropriate article in some way. If there is not, then a section of this article should include some non-Spanish examples. -- χγʒ͡ʒγʋᾳ (talk) 20:12, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Valencia CF?

[edit]

I added Valencia CF to the list of notable canteras, but it was quickly removed. So I added a list of Valencia canteranos to "Other Canteras" instead. Any reason why Valencia should not have a notable cantera? It might not historycally, compared to the other teams listed, but today teams like Valencia CF, Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla bring up a lot of talented players that are the stars of Spain's national youth teams. For Valencia there's Isco, Paco Alcácer, Aaron, Michel and Jordi Alba. Donximo (talk) 14:25, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
