Hokey Pokey[edit]

I have heard caramel corn (specifically, caramel popcorn with peanuts) referred to as "Hokey Pokey" by persons from the United States northern plains states.

Perhaps an editor with knowledge of the linguistics and snack cuisines of this vicinity could add an appropriate passage to this article and the Hokey pokey disambiguation page.

Baking after coating[edit]

I noticed that a number of recipes require 25 minutes to an hour of baking (I think that may be a bit much) probably to crisp the mixture ...

See for example: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/caramel-popcorn/detail.aspx http://allrecipes.com/recipe/my-amish-friends-caramel-corn/detail.aspx http://candy.about.com/od/caramelrecipes/r/caramel_corn.htm http://greenmountainkettlecorn.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.169.172.227 (talk) 19:03, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have a printed recipe book to confirm this as a source.
