Sir

[edit]

I am reverting the move:

  • 10:04, 10 September 2012‎ Hex (talk | contribs | block)‎ m . . (9,521 bytes) (0)‎ . . (Hex moved page Sir Gervase Clifton, 1st Baronet to Gervase Clifton, 1st Baronet: Per WP:PEERAGE.) (rollback: 1 edit | undo)

WP:PEERAGE and the the guideline Wikipedia:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility) make the same point but it is most clearly stated in the guideline:

  • A baronet should never be referred to with the title but without "Sir" preceding (e.g. do not use "William Williams, 2nd Baronet, of Clapton"

I'm still learning the finer points of titling in this area - thanks. — Hex (❝?!❞) 15:08, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
