Definition[edit]

So, is this article saying that if you have an X interface to any internet chess server, then that interface is called a 'XICS'? That is, is this page simply a definition of an acronym? Or is it saying that there's a piece of software named 'XICS' that in fact connects to any internet chess server? This claim seems unlikely, unless 'internet chess server' is narrowed down to chess servers implementing a particular protocol named the 'Internet Chess Server' protocol.
