Elevation[edit]

Some sources give the elation as 2898 feet. Most websites use the NGVD 29 elevation shown on USGS topographic maps. The version of the topo maps published by MyTopo is hard to read (because a line passes through the number) and it might be read as 2898 but another version from the USGS clearly shows 2895. Compare the Mytopo version and the USGS version. Note: there are several NGS benchmarks near the summit but none are at the highest point. –droll [chat] 08:21, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
