Tim Fischer superfluous description

[edit]

The Scrubbythug reverted an edit which I have now reverted back regarding the description on Tim Fischer.

This was his reason: "Fischer also served as Minister for Trade during the same period, hence the inclusion of "minister". Just as it is for every other example of Deputy Prime Ministers"

I wasn't disputing that Fischer was a minister whilst also serving as Deputy Prime Minister but the description which I objected to was him as minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

The fact is his Deputy Prime Ministership represents the entirety of his ministerial career.

To say he was minister and Deputy Prime Minister would imply he had served as a minister when he wasn't Deputy Prime Minister. This isn't the case here.

To refer to him as a minister and Deputy Prime Minister when his Deputy Prime Ministership represents 100% of his ministerial career makes it a superfluous description one that should be avoided. 49.3.72.79 (talk) 14:19, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No such implication is made about this, and it's unlikely that anyone would make the mistake. In literally every other example of Deputy Prime Ministers on these electorate tables, we specify "minister and Deputy Prime Minister", so as to cover their ministerial career as well as their title of Deputy PM. We're not going to make an exception in this case. Thescrubbythug (talk) 10:07, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information on Wodonga

[edit]

I have removed information on Wodonga, as it does not seem to serve any purpose, the division of Indi page does not make reference to Albury for example, and the Division of Richmond makes no reference to the Gold Coast. Dauwenkust (talk) 03:54, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Revoran (talk) 09:24, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
