Dave's Beach - credible sources

This page is often updated by users to name Beachwood Beach "Dave's Beach". Is there any credible source of the beach actually being called this? There are articles on the web that have been lifted from earlier versions of this Wikipedia article that reference Dave's Beach, but are there any primary sources that reference this nickname? Or is it a long and deliberate vandalism?--Jono3421 (talk) 07:16, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Based on IP it seems that it is a single user in Australia who has continually edited this page to reference a "Dave's Beach". My guess is that this person is the "Dave" in question... if you go back on the page edit history it becomes obvious that this is long-running prank of theirs. Because it was unwatched for so long, various websites that used Wikipedia as a source for articles have also erroneously referred to the beach as Dave's Beach. But the first reference to Dave's beach is from Wikipedia itself, on 30th July 2007: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Durban_North&oldid=148078108 Jono3421 (talk) 09:06, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
