Confusion: Far-Right Reference

[edit]

@Ertrinken Regarding this entry, I have crosschecked the reference and the article does not explicitly mention the politician in question, particularly considering the claim made about his alignment with far-right ideologies. It is crucial to ensure that references accurately support the assertions made in an article, and the absence of a direct reference to the politician raises some doubts regarding the reliability and verifiability of the information presented. It would be greatly appreciated if you could kindly offer further clarification or justification for including the reference despite its lack of explicit connection to the mentioned politician. Such transparency would greatly contribute to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the article. Thank you for considering my inquiry. Felipe Pegado (talk) 22:45, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Felipe Pegado: I've translated this article in 10 March. The original statement was: "Identificado com a direita conservadora e frequentemente apontado como parte da extrema-direita brasileira", and there was no references for the underlined affirmation on the paragraph. Per pt:WP:REFINTRO, it is allowed to remove the references on the introductive paragraph, hence it's presumed that the content is supported by the sources throughout the length of the text. However, since the article wasn't completely translated, I will place a proper reference for the assertion. Best regards! Ertrinken 23:14, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see, in that case I am moving the discussion to Wikipedia-PT. Take care! Felipe Pegado (talk) 23:32, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
