The article has a brief discussion of the two-column format, but it might be good to add a section on the history of various ways to do it. Some used to do two columns, but leave them each ragged toward the center. Today it is common to have it full justified in each column, but that leads to issues with spacing: Some sections are just much longer than others and you end up with squishing and a lot of stretched letters, or big spaces between the words.
