Garden hose thread

[edit]

What about the Garden hose threads at the ends of a garden hose? Peter Horn User talk 01:52, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

As of this writing, a Google search on the term "hose coupler" ranked #2, and "hose coupling" ranked #1. These search terms are driving business to the sole distributor at the bottom of this page.

I am concerned the external reference links at the bottom of the page solely benefit the commercial distributor for monetary gain $$$. Whereas other distributors / competitors could put their links as well.

More correctly, a designer or manufacturer of the coupler might be listed instead where there is more informational content on the design/background of such parts.

Large list of fire hose couplings

[edit]

[1] has a large number of couplings not yet covered here. Perhaps someone that speaks German well and understands fire fighting can read that page and add some more connectors here? Peter K. Sheerin 17:58, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Quick-connect garden hose couplings

[edit]

I'm trying to track down any citable details about the quick-connect garden hose couplings, specifically this design: Brass Quick Couplers.

This design is so common it should be included on this page, but I have not been able to find any source that describes the standard dimensions, the original manufacturer, when it was first made, etc.PetesGuide (talk) (K6WEB) 23:47, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
