Wallpaper is a generally repetitive, uninteresting picture; if it moved, say by showing it continuously on a TV screen, it would get very boring. This is what many people would say a TV soap is like - the same thing happening repetitively on a TV screen, thus as boring and uninteresting as moving wallpaper. Probably a coincidence, but if you look at the article for the song 'Echo Beach' (used as the theme tune), it says Mark Gane of Martha and the Muffins wrote it while working in a wallpaper factory! Tony Corsini (talk) 10:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
