THE GAME SENAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NINE MEN'S MORRIS. IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH BACKGAMMON AND THE ROYAL GAME OR UR.

Is there truly a Senat game? One wonders if it is not just an alternate spelling of Senet. Luis Dantas 19:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I merged this article to Senet, but created redirect to Senate. There are several articles, which link here and mean "Senate". Andreas Kaufmann 22:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm sorry, but redirecting to one specific senate doesn't make sense. Redirecting to Senet, which has an alternative spelling of Senat, is correct. I have changed it. --Tarage (talk) 23:11, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When you redirect to Senet, you're ignoring the fact that most of the incoming links to this page are obviously referring to the Polish Senate and not to the game. What evidence do you have that Senat is a common alternate spelling for Senet? --Steven J. Anderson (talk) 23:40, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"“The Book of Games: Strategy, Tactics & History” by Jack Botermans http://www.amazon.com/Book-Games-Strategy-Tactics-History/dp/1402742215/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259563821&sr=8-1" The spelling in this book is that of 'Senat'. As for the Polish Senate, I don't buy that. This is the English speaking Wikipedia, if someone was searching for the Polish Senate, they would search for the Polish Senate, or at worst, 'Polish Senat'. --Tarage (talk) 00:39, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't responded to the fact that all the incoming links to this page from other articles clearly refer to the Polish Senate. It doesn't matter a damn whether this is the Polish or English Wikipedia. What matters is what the reader is likely to be looking for when he types "Senat" into the search box. You've satisfied me that "Senat" is a likely search term for the game, but that makes a case for making this a dab page again, not a redirect. --Steven J. Anderson (talk) 00:52, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It sounds to me that the incoming links are wrong then. Can you show me an example? --Tarage (talk) 02:34, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
