Request to merge this article with Jan Lokpal Bill
[edit]Oppose: because: Jan Lokpal Bill is one of the many possible options from which Lokpal can be instituted. So, Lokpal is a generic term which could have features from Jan Lokpal Bill, NCPRI (National Campaign for People's Right to Information) and many others. So, the main article can't be just Jan Lokpal Bill. Onkar 19:54, 5 March 2012 (UTC) Oppose Jan Lokpal is a version of legislation formatted by IAC and its volunteers and which is drastically different than Lokpal which is approved by UPA in Dec-2013. To preserve the difference between the two these pages should not be merged. 21 December 2013 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.97.10.248 (talk) 15:03, 21 December 2013 (UTC)
Support the merging of the articles. This article provides a brief description of what a lokpal is and then speaks in volumes about the Jan Lokpal Bill. There has been no mention of other versions of the Lokpal Bill. What could be done is the merged article be titled as The Lokpal which describes in detail about the flavours of this bill. There is another article which I have created by the name The Lokpal Bill, 2011 which is the official version of the bill.Vaibhavgupta1989 (talk) 10:34, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
