née and moved here from Married and maiden names

[edit]

Today, found that had already been pointed here, while née and nee still pointed at Married and maiden names. Moved them all here, as well as related text.

Gender neutral né/née?

[edit]

Is there any gender neutral version for and née in any of the English languages (UK, US, Austr., ...)? --92.206.45.17 (talk) 14:29, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The footnote Canadian legal requirement contained a dead link. I found that the website has been relocated to http://parentfindersottawa.ca/ - however, this particular FAQ-page seems not to have been moved along. I cannot find the information in any cached/archived version either. Hence I removed this footnote from the wiki and put a remark 'citation needed' in the text ("Birth name, or now sometimes birthname, can mean name at birth, or the more elusive concept of personal name (that is, name before taking a professional name such as stage name, pen name, ring name, assumed name, alias name, nickname, or some recognised name change process"). I found a link to the archived page, but it does not provide all information mentioned on the wiki. Therefore I won't put it back in, but kept the 'citation needed'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lisiduna (talkcontribs) 18:11, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find the Alternate spellings?

[edit]

B-earth name appears to have been erased from all documentations and documents, I am going to assume that adding the entry would be met with much hostility, the degree known as extreme prejudice. Is this correct? -Dirtclustit (talk) 18:02, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

I have proposed a merge as i think all the name pages are confusing Mayonbred (talk) 07:27, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
