Etymology

[edit]

Would be good if anybody could research etymology of the dessert's name, its history and social importance in everyday-life. In particular it would be interesting to understand the connection between the orange color of the pumpkin and the color of the robe of buddhist monks. Maybe anybody able to read khmer could do so? Please help improve notability as there is so little written on Cambodia and its culture.(Tadju (talk) 12:52, 21 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

^ I have Khmer Cooking books that give details about this dessert. I'll look more into it. Trilinguist (talk) 05:30, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
