Spicule formation

This is just a note to acknowledge the discrepancy between this page and spicule. The article which I read stated that sclerocytes form spicules individually, and not in pairs. It is certainly possible that different sponges achieve the process differently; the article cited on the spicule page concerned freshwater sponges. If someone (possibly the author) could cite the source used here so that this could be cleared up, that would be great. Cerealkiller13 23:55, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
