The Lapu-Lapu Expressway (LLEX), is a proposed 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) elevated highway, which will connect Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Barangay Gabi, Cordova. The project was designed to cut travel time to Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and to maintain traffic and the crowding of motorists in the main highway.[1]

The highway will include exits to barangays, resorts and subdivisions. These exits are provided to cater to residents living in barangays Pajac and Bankal, as well as to the hotels and resorts in Punta Engaño.[2]

The project was estimated to cost ₱24.8 billion, and is being built under a public-private partnership.
