Does anyone know more about the history of the Vedeneyev engines, or what other models are available? Daleh 09:41, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The manufacturer's website, Vedenyeyv says that V. was one of the Soviet Union's smaller design firms which was/is based in Vorenzeh, Ukraine. The aircraft engine is famed for its durabiliy and light-weight. Like most Soviet technology it is also designed to adapt to both extreme hot and extreme cold. Its primary use is for Yakolev and Sukhoi aircraft. My understanding of the technical details is poor at best, so I'm attaching this link. [1]. The engine series is primarily designed for high-speed use, and seems to be used by both the Soviet-successor governments/millitaries in use for courier planes, etc, as well as acrobatic display teams. They are also used by corporate concerns as smaller ferry aircraft, much as the Cessna and LearJet are use by the USAF and other Western Air Forces. Thanks, V. Joe. I will update the page soon, but if you feel like doing it please go ahead. I will research the techincal deatail and add that in as well. I am familliar with the M-14P engine and have operating manals specifically from the Yak-52 and Yak-55 aircraft. Daleh 09:02, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
