Bad sources

This article cites "Vita Pompeii" by plutarch. What's the point? It should cite either the greek original or a modern english translation. It is extremely hard to check the source if it's a rare translation into a dead language. 190.229.69.58 (talk) 12:54, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's very common to cite Greek sources by the Latin name of the work instead of the Greek one. You can still look at the English or Greek, the numbers are the same.130.123.96.22 (talk) 04:20, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
