Clarification needed[edit]

The text talks about a lack of police squad cars. In the period 1865-1883? --Derek Andrews (talk) 22:41, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation?[edit]

The text of this article reads like it was quoted verbatim off the book jacket. -McGhiever (talk) 19:15, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Objection to page move[edit]

This article was moved by Anthony Appleyard from Controlling Vice: Regulating Brothel Prostitution in St. Paul, 1865-1883 to Controlling Vice. Whilst the original title was long, it was the accurate title of the book. The new title is too general. Most people would expect to find a general article on controlling vice under this title not just one city during a specific historic time. --John B123 (talk) 15:57, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
