Kabali Box Office

Guys read through the articles and key in the stated facts. Till date they have made 330 crores. It's not 262 crores. Kindly do make the changes. 1990Krishna (talk) 07:33, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - 1990Krishna Box values have not been consistently reported. The source in the article indicated 262 crores a few days ago, other sources reported 650 crores. Somewhere in between is an accurate estimate, but it's too early to figure that out with such a wide range of opinion on the take. We are not in any hurry, so you needn't be either. Pre-release business 250 crores not only includes satellite rights and audio rights, they sold the film for nearly 200 cores for first week as Minimum guarantee movie (MGM).. So exclude this first 10 days collection from overall business so the movie may collect 300 to 350 crores overall since the movie is running only few theaters in Tamil Nadu and ran away from all theatres outside Tamil nadu except small number of theatres. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kabali kabali (talkcontribs) 15:00, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Box office collections means the entire collection gross right? You say the distributor share is subtracted and only the profit is updated. That is not box office collection, box office collection should include the entire collection regardless of the share or profit right? Then why have you not updated the gross revenue as 650 crores? Even Sultan and Bahubali does not have reliable source then how have you updated their Inflated BO figures? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.75.83.79 (talk) 14:04, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see anyone mention the distributor share being subtracted. Are you responding to a different comment? Also, it seems to me you might be confused. Box office collections means the entire collection at the box office. Money made from tickets sold. Nothing more. If the 650 crore figure includes 200 crore in music rights and satellite rights, that is not what we are interested in. No film's gross is measured by a thousand different revenue streams. It's only measured by one: money made from tickets sold. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:24, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. But this movie had collected 650crores on first 13days. It's official and not included other rights. Check and update properly. Jahir cer (talk) 05:12, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are wrong, as is demonstrated by this source, which says the film grossed "Rs 215 crore within India ... and Rs 262 crore from abroad". Domestic + international = 477 crore. Pre-release income of 200 crore was added to this figure to arrive at 677 crore. Basic math. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:49, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
