Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Repeated unsourced removal of content and readditions of unbilled cast member to billing order after prior protection expired. Trailblazer101 (talk) 00:09, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DeclinedWarn the user appropriately then report them to AIV or ANI if they continue. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 01:08, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent disruptive editing from unsourced changes to the Infobox (with WP:FRINGE playing in), talk page also explains. Noorullah (talk) 00:22, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

added comment: page has also been protected before for disruptive editing. Noorullah (talk) 00:24, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: persistent vandalism 2600:1000:B153:8CF:3C30:AD6E:F01C:508F (talk) 00:36, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User(s) blocked blocked by HJ Mitchell. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 01:09, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent disruptive editing on the article; users adding in a supposed end date for the series, when it hasn't been officially confirmed by the network (outside of a few TV promos). Similar to Erin & Aaron, the article should be protected temporarily until further notice. BrickMaster02 (talk) 01:09, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Note: @BrickMaster02: I'm on the fence so I'm going to let another administrator decide. I can't help but wonder if there isn't a better solution for television shows. We allow DOB to be sourced from social media, we allow sports transactions to be confirmed by the athlete, etc. I don't know what a better solution would look like, especially one compatible with WP:RS, but in the absence of a solution, perhaps a specific warning template like {{Current sports transaction}} would help. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 01:25, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Different IPs have either been trying to remove a sentence in the open against apparent consesnsus or editing it in a disruptive fashion [1] for the past 5 days. Skynxnex (talk) 01:19, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. That's why you came to me, isn't it, Skynxnex? Because you knew I could do those things that you weren't capable of doing? Well, it worked. And you'll get what you want: no more unconfirmed editors editing the Elim Garak article for an entire year. And if your conscience is bothering you, you should soothe it with the knowledge that you may have just saved several more people from having to revert these disruptive edits. And all it cost was a few keystrokes and clicks, one log entry under WP:CT/GG, and the self-respect of everyone reading this response. I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 01:34, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The deal of the day. Thanks. Skynxnex (talk) 02:00, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Continued vandalism from IP users Arcturus95 (talk) 02:10, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 6 months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. El_C 02:23, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Too many vandalism. Naz soon (talk) 03:00, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
