At the end of February the Russian Army began pushing in the areas located inside the village of Ivanivske with the goal to reach Chasiv Yar. Fighting continued with no results, until, on March 22th 2024, Ukrainian soldiers took the decision to withdraw from their position in the village. The Russians then marched throughout the village and fully occupied it on March 23.
