Episodic discrepancy

[edit]

Various episodes of this show have been released by Rhino Home Video in the following two volumes: Jem and the Holograms: The Complete First and Second Seasons (Rhino, 30 March 2004) and Jem and the Holograms: Season 3, Part One (Rhino, 14 September 2004).  According to the liner notes of the latter, the following episodes are part of season 3:

  1. "The Talent Search" Part One
  2. "The Talent Search" Part Two
  3. "The Scandal"
  4. "One Jem Too Many"
  5. "The Bands Break Up"
  6. "The Fan"
  7. "Fathers' Day"
  8. "The Treasure Hunt"
  9. "Aztec Enchantment"
  10. "Music is Magic"
  11. "The Jazz Player"
  12. "Danse Time"
  13. "Roxy Rumbles"
  14. "Alone Again"
  15. "KJEM"
  16. "Trick or Techrat"
  17. "The Presidential Dilemma"
  18. "Rock n' Roll Express"
  19. "Mardi Gras"

So far, Rhino has yet to release any further volumes.  The following episodes do not appear on either volume:

  • The Middle of Nowhere
  • Renaissance Woman
  • Journey to Shangri-La
  • Journey Through Time
  • Britrock
  • Out of the Past
  • Hollywood Jem, Part 1: For Your Consideration
  • Hollywood Jem, Part 2: And the Winner Is...
  • The Stingers Hit Town: Part 1
  • The Stingers Hit Town: Part 2
  • Video Wars
  • Beauty and the Rock Promoter
  • Homeland, Heartland
  • Midsummer Night's Madness
  • The Day the Music Died
  • That Old Houdini Magic
  • Straight from the Heart (a.k.a. Your 15 Minutes Are Up)
  • A Change of Heart
  • Riot's Hope
  • A Father Should Be...

What I find interesting is that none of the nineteen episodes that Rhino says are definitely part of season 3 are listed in this article.  Is this official Rhino releases somehow mistaken?
