I am very sceptical that this was ever one of the largest freshwater lakes! 5km across gives it an area of about 20km^2 assuming it's roughly circular. And looking at photos it seems like a fairly ordinary sized lake. Any source for that claim? 217.36.225.206 (talk) 16:48, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
Volcanic eruption
[edit]Why is there no information about an eruption at nearby Mt. Karymsky having changed the lake's chemistry?
