Olusegun Alebiosu is a Nigerian business executive.[1] He is the acting managing director and chief executive officer of First Bank of Nigeria Limited. [2]

Early life and education

Olusegun has a degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and a Master of International Law and Diplomacy both from the University of Lagos. He also has a Master of Science degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and he is an alumni of Harvard Kennedy School of Government.[3]

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management, a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs.[4]

Career

Olusegun started his banking career at in 1991 at Oceanic Bank Plc.[5]

Olusegun was the Chief Risk Officer of Coronation Merchant Bank before his appointment as Chief Risk Officer at First Bank Nigeria in September 2016.[6] He had also worked at the African Development Bank as Chief Credit Risk Officer and at United Bank for Africa as Credit Policy & Deputy Chief Credit Risk Officer.[7]

He was made the chair of the CRC Credit Bureau in July 2020.[8]

In January 2022, he was promoted to the the board of First Bank Nigeria as Executive Director, Risk Management & Executive Compliance Officer.[9]
