Proposed Merge with Army Combat Uniform

[edit]

This article should be rolled into the Army Combat Uniform article. MWShort (talk) 15:25, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disagree Someone has proposed a merge with the Army Combat Uniform. I disagree with this proposal, as I think it will make the Army Combat Uniform article too confusing. - Tmaull (talk) 16:25, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree This uniform item is specialized clothing and not every U.S. Army Soldier wears this uniform both CONUS, OCONUS and even in the CENTCOM AOR (i.e., Iraq and Afghanistan). Therefore, because of this logic, since it is a specialized item--it should stand on it's own versus being added as a "by the way...this, the ACS can be worn with the ACU". If that were the case, we could list every Rapid Field Initiative (RFI) item that the Army issues to the Soldier and list it in the ACU section. -Signaleer (talk) 17:49, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The ACS is authorized as a stand alone top for wear in theater. Which is why it should have it's own article and should not be combined with the ACU article. Combining this with the ACU article will only degrade the information volume of Wikipedia and over stock the ACU article with information. Discussion

[edit]

Is this shirt authorized to wear? Let's wait for the AR670-1 to approve this first. SSG R. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.191.131.123 (talk) 14:12, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've been here in the CFLCC AOR for some time, and I say to hell with AR 670-1 when im spending an entire hot 118 degree day outside with my IBA on over my ACU top. The ACS significantly reduces discomfort and does not detract from a professional appearance. SSG S. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.81.248.53 (talk) 08:30, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This currently redirects here but it is probably a notable concept that needs a stand-alone article. Ex. source [1] Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:51, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
