ThatGamerXavier (Born 2013) is a Roblox racer who currently competes in the Papermate Cup Series.
He currently competes for the Roblox team Potato Motorsports in the main division, the 2nd division (Menards), and the 5th divison (Traxxas). He also competes in many other Roblox leagues, some being IRSCA and the Verizon Cup Series.
Papermate Career
[edit]Xavier first heard about Papermate when his friend "DolfySplashfinGaming" told him about it. Xavier recalls, "He said 'Hey, do you know this thing called Papermate?' I said no then he said 'You should try it.' I thought about it and said 'Sure.' After joining the group (which is mandatory), he tried out for the league in a game, and got 4th in his session. This got the attention of one of the team owners, "Il_ChaseElliot", better known as Chuckie in the community. Chuckie owns Potato Motorsports, and they decided to take a chance on Xavier and sign him full-time to the Menards Series, driving the 45. In addition to that, he also got signed to a part-time deal driving the number 1 in Division 1 for Potato Motorsports. Chuckie felt optimistic about the opportunity, saying "I feel Xavier is a bright prospect, and I have high expectations for him. I hope he makes the playoffs in his first season, and maybe even win the championship!" His first ever start in the ARCA opener didn't go so well, finishing 13th out of 17 drivers. The weekend only continued to get worse, as in the Menards race, he finished 22nd out of 29 starters. The two races at both Atlanta and Roblox Diamond saw him DNQing, and at Auto Club he scored his first top 10, with a 10th place finish. Phoenix saw him finish 21st out of 30 cars, one of the largest fields in Papermate history, and he scored his first ever top 5 finish at Las Vegas, scoring a 5th place finish. The rest of the season was up and down for him, ultimately culminating in 1 top 5, 6 top 10s, and 11 DNQs, finishing 16th in the points. He did end up making 15 cup starts that season, with 10 DNQs and a best finish of 3rd at the summer Daytona race, though that was his only top 5, and he only ended up scoring one more top 10, a 7th at Road America. Potentially the highlight of the season was at New Hampshire in ARCA, where in a fuel mileage race, Xavier pulled out to the lead with 2 to go and won one of two races that season, with the other one being at the Indianapolis Raceway Park, where he led just 4 laps and claimed the victory.
In the Future
[edit]As of May 13th, Xavier has resigned a contract with Potato Motorsports for season 31, driving the 1 car full-time for Division 1. Both Xavier and team owner Chuckie are very excited for this opportunity, as they hope to build on some of their success of last season.
