I went ahead and downloaded the first Japanese volume of Suzuka, and found that the initial one shot appeared in Weekly Shōnen Magazine issue 51 in 2003, and then the first official chapter was in issue 12 in 2004. According to this official archive, issue 51 in 2003 was not sold in December, but on November 19, 2003. It's cited, however, as the December 3, 2003 issue, so there you go. Issue 12 in 2004 was sold on February 18, 2004 and was cited as the March 3, 2004 issue, but you already knew that as the article already states.--十八05:12, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It could simply be the difference between release date and cover date... There was a project discussion on which date to use, and as I recall, cover date was decided on (but someone digging up that discussion and double-checking wouldn't hurt). 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy100018:46, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, cover date is what was decided should be used. The cover date for the 51st issue in 2003 was December 3, 2003, so that is the date that should be used. Similarly, the cover date of issue 12 in 2004 was March 3, 2004. Usually, the cover date is just a month/date, but since this is a weekly magazine, they supply a day as well.--十八00:18, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
