Choghadak (Template:Lang-fa)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Choghadak District of Bushehr County, Bushehr province, Iran. It also serves as the administrative center for Howmeh Rural District.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 16,425 in 3,497 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 18,072 people in 4,376 households.[6] According the census in 2016, the population was 18,702 people in 5,147 households.[2]
In October 2018, the city of Choghadak and parts of Howmeh Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Choghadak District, which was divided into two rural districts and the city.[7]
Language
The majority of the city is Farsi speaking with a sizable portion of Arabic speakers.[8]
