@CycloneYoris Gonna move it, According to WP:Notability (weather)#Tropical Cyclones, An article should be released into article space if it makes landfall, in this example, It made landfall over the Samar Island, causing it to be okay for article space. TheNuggeteer (talk) 04:46, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

I still think you should wait a bit (at least until the system becomes a tropical storm), and it should be created at Tropical Storm Aghon first, and then moved to Typhoon Aghon if it becomes a typhoon. CycloneYoris ^talk! 09:04, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

I've moved it to draftspace on account of being under the notability requirements for events. It currently only contains information published routinely as part of storm impacts and preparations, and can fit within the scope of 2024 Pacific typhoon season until substantial impacts exist. You can find the draft at Draft:Tropical Storm Aghon. Please also note that we use the international name for storm articles, meaning the actual page name for this article should be "Tropical Storm Ewiniar (2024)". @TheNuggeteer: A storm being a typhoon is not an indication of notability either. I suggest you view past typhoon seasons and see which storms have articles and which do not (which include many typhoons with minimal impact). Chlod (say hi!) 07:26, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

@TheNuggeteer: We'll probably need more than that. Stranded passengers are expected as sea and road trips would cancel to avoid the rough weather. It's a low bar to clear, since every tropical depression which reaches the Philippines will have stranded passengers. Like I said, I suggest you view past seasons to see which storms are notable. For example, Tropical Storm Jelawat from last year had 90,000 evacuated and caused $40,000 in damages but it doesn't have an article. Chlod (say hi!) 17:05, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
