Tara Yummy (born Tara Thompson[1]) is an American content creator and TikTok star.[2]
Career
TaraYummy started her YouTube channel, from which she became famous, where she posted vlogs and videos with her friends in 2019[3] while still being in high school[4]. Youtubers such as Jenna Marbles and Our2ndLife inspired her to pursue a career in the platform[5].
In May 2022, she started her stand-up comedy career as she though she has a talent on it by having a sold out show in Flappers Comedy Club[6]. Seeing the success of her first show she went on tour in 2023 across the United States[5], known as "Selling Myself Short Tour".
In 2024, she made her singing debut remixing 6arelyhuman's song, "Faster n Harder" which has become widely known on TikTok.[7] She also joined Zach Justice and Jared Bailey on the podcast "Dropouts" where they talk about their everyday lives initially as a guest but then she became a permanent member[8]. The same year she was was chosen as one of the muses in Marc Jacobs's Y2k collection Heaven offering a grunge and Tumblr-era look.[2][3]
Personal life
Tara was born and raised in Los Angeles where she still lives[3][4] and has roots in Maryland.[6]
She was dating famous YouTuber Jake Webber with whom collaborated on a lot of videos since they start of their relationship but called it quits in 2023, after five years together.[1]
