Paul Ruiz Daza is a Filipino politician who served as Governor of Northern Samar and member of Philippine House of Representatives for Northern Samar's 1st congressional district under the National Unity Party. He originally ran under the Liberal Party in the 2019 elections, winning against the Nacionalista Party, after the win, the opposition Harlin Abayon filed an electoral protest against the win, which was unsuccessful.[1] On December 29, 2020, Former president Rodrigo Duterte accused Daza of corruption although without evidence. Daza rejected the allegations.[2] He is the son of Raul Daza.[3]
