Lake Kamunzuku
Appearance
Lake Kamunzuku is a Ugandan lake in Rubirizi district, Western Uganda, bordering Queen Elizabeth National Park.[1] The lake is traditionally believed to have healing properties by the surrounding community.[2] Lake Kamunzuku is a protected area managed by Uganda Wildlife Authority and Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.[3][4] It has clear fresh waters with active aquatic life.[5]
Location
Lake Kamunzuku is located at an altitude of 1,272 metres (4,173 ft) above sea level.[6]
Flora and fauna
Lake Kamunzuku has natural forest with overhanging trees having Velvet monkeys, Calabash monkeys, baboons, bird species, forest pigs and many more.[7][8]
