A compilation of flight simulators that included Advanced Tactical Fighters, Advanced Tactical Fighters - Nato Fighters, and U.S. Navy Fighters '97 - all games from Electronic Arts' Jane's Combat Simulations, seamlessly integrated into one game. The game featured aircraft from the 1960's throught the late 1990's from a variety of nations, including a few hypothetical aircraft such as the Aurora. The game included a mission editor, detailed manual that included technical data on aircraft from the game and short summaries of various conflicts that involved the aircraft in the game, and multiplayer capabilities.

There were also six major campaign modes the player could play.

1.Vietnam

2.Kuril Islands

3.Egypt

4.The Baltics

5.The Ukraine

6.Vladivostok

Each campaign had about 25-40 missions and several selectable aircraft from the time period in which the campaign takes place. The player is responsible for utilizing "repair hours" to fix aircraft after mission damage. Additionally, certain ordinance, such as laser guided bombs and JDAMS, were only available in very limited numbers, so ordinance had to be used carefully.

A Quick Mission option was also available for quick dogfights or ground attacks. The player could select from about a hundred aircraft, all fixed-wing fighters, bombers, or attack planes. Up to fifteen friendly and fifteen enemy aircraft could be designated, along with a ground target specific to the region of combat. (SCUD missles in Iraq, Warships in the Vladivostok penninsula, etc.)

Cheats could be used to enable rotorcraft, an Atomic Moth, and a Quetzelcoualotus. As a gag, moose could also be dropped as ordinance with a cheat.

Additional cheats available from the menu during a game include unlimited ammunition, unlimited fuel, invulnerability, and several others.
