Gordon Roberts[1] better known as Gordon the Tramp is a resident of Bournemouth who is famous for apparently always knowing the correct time even though he does not own a watch[2]

Facebook

Gordon became an Internet phenomenon when Chris Kimber started a Facebook page on his behalf[3] he has gathered an appreciative collection of over 7,000 friends on this site[4] fans have uploaded pictures of themselves with Gordon and the site now has many peoples tales of Gordon on it[3][5]

Gordon is a well known character in Bournemouth with his large beard and AFC Bournemouth scarf (he attends all the home games)[6]

The phenomenon has been widely reported in many UK newspapers and has spread as far as the Netherlands.[7]
