For God's sake
For God's sake dude... what summary? Please, take a look at my contributions. I just read Wikipedia. I just created this damn account so, in case I saw some vandalism in an article I wanted to read, I might revert it.
I've done nothing wrong, made nothing controversial, interacted with no one at all, and so far 3 of you have come at me. What's this?
You all have taught me a lesson. When I spot vandalism, let it be. Just go to "History", find a correct edition, visualize it and read it, and then leave. Don't touch it.
This is what I've realized i must do.— Preceding unsigned comment added by だってばよ (talk • contribs) 16:19, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- If I came off as "coming at you", I apologise. But you have interacted with people.
- As for the edit summary, it is just above the Save page button which is below the window that you type in when editing an article or talk page. I've looked over your contributions and it's great that you repaired vandalism. That's mostly what I do.
- I didn't say you've done anything wrong, but there are guidelines for user names. Click on and read Wikipedia:Username policy and you'll see at the top of the page, "When choosing an account name, be careful to avoid names which may be offensive, confusing or unintelligible to English-speaking users. You are encouraged to use only one account." This is the English wikipedia. that's why all of the pages begin with en.wikipedia.org - look at an article that has pages in other languages - such as the main page - it is in the sidebar on the left. If you go to these, you'll see that not only does the language change, but the first part of the web page name changes in the address bar of your browser.
- If someone asks you then please consider it and don't go off on a tirade and call people nazis. If you don't know how to do it, ask them for help.
- I'm trying to help you which is what others are doing too. One other thing that is helpful is to sign your posts. You can do this by adding ~~~~ at the end of what you type. Cheers. (Also putting this on your talk page.)--EarthPerson 16:43, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry. I already took the precaution to create another account, so that I will disappear from now on from your 360º doppler tracking radar. I know Wikipedia too well. Too well. My last bit of beneveloce for this community was to create an accout to revert any vandalism I spotted when reading an article, but given your attitude, from now on I will refrain from reverting any vandalism. It's easy to read the correct version without having to revert it and that's what I'll do.
- I contributed for a long time and found this is the reailty behind the well-intentioned wikipedia... harassment from users who don't seem to have anything better to do... apart from Jimmy Wales & co spending six thousand bucks on travel every month, something that you are seemingly oblivious of, or to infatuated with Wikipedia's leaders to be able to realize of...
- So well, I will continue to read this useful encyclopedia, but I will never again do the slightest thing for wikipedia, not even revert annoying vandalism, not even correct one single letter... or kana, into the bargain.— Preceding unsigned comment added by だってばよ (talk • contribs) 16:53, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have no tracking radar. I noticed your username on the recent changes page. And I've been civil with you. I don't think what I've done is harassment. If you do, I apologize. But I'd like to know what you thought was harassing? If it was suggestions to use edit summaries and signing your posts, then I think you need a thicker skin. Thanks. --EarthPerson 17:17, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Raquel on the Rachel page
I added Raquel to the bottom as a variation of the name, because it's not simply a different spelling, it's pronounced differently too. Would it be appropriate to rephrase it as something like 'For a variation of the name, see Raquel'?--Jcvamp 22:38, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it probably would. Good idea. --EarthPerson 22:41, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
The 'Toilet paper' 'wiping technique' section
Well done on the 'wiping technique' section. The way it was, was crude and trivial and you've given it relevance.--Jcvamp 00:52, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! :) It was really oddly written. I was part joking and part serious when I called it original research in the edit summary. I chuckled at your comment when you removed it. :) Thanks for the kudos on my work. The "limited mobility" section just above almost belongs in with it. But I'll leave that for someone else. Why is my article marked as advertising?

hypnobirthing
Hi Earthperson,
I noticed that you have made a few changes to some entries about hypnobirthing. I'm trying to write an article that address hypnosis for childbirth looking at the different techniques and methods of using it, including hypnobirthing. Any input from other interested people would be great, as I think it may be in the process of being targeted by products such as Marie Mongan's method, which is a blatant advertisement under hypnobirthing!
Thank you.........— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sophiefletcher (talk • contribs) 16:39, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. I don't know what all help I can be to you. My edits to hypnobirthing were a while back and the last time I looked at the article, it was not in the best of shape. --EarthPerson 14:31, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Poi Dog Pondering
I removed a chunk of the entry (intentionally) because it consisted of a rambling, semi-literate personal exegesis of a handful of arbitrarily chosen song-lyrics, better suited to an adolescent's fan page than a Wikipedia entry. I rather thought the rationale for the excision was self-evident.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.49.96 (talk • contribs) 00:47, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Then I wish you'd said that in the edit summary or on the talk page. I just noticed that it was a large removal without any comment as to why. Cheers. --EarthPerson 15:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I have had somone using my account to to post bogus all over random articles, what might I do about that?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gmoney181 (talk • contribs) 03:00, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. You're talking about edits that I sent you notices about on 12 June. The best thing to do is go to my preferences and reset your password. Remember to sign out so that any other edits by someone will not show up under your account. You can also post a message to your talk page similar to what you did here. You can say that those edits were by someone else when you were still logged in. You may also want to check the wp:help desk and ask your question there. Those other edits were weeks back and I reverted them, so don't look sleep over it. :) Just guard your account. --EarthPerson 12:43, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
No Fair
Point & click technology allows familiarized browsers to slam, cram & over-ride internet posting. This is unbecoming to the www information forum. As a non-profit organization, Wikipedia thrives on the publication of new information. Source journalism in this community based on trust can not be mentored by the deletion of pertinent articles, such as the creation of User:StationNT5Bmedia, and subsequent articles being created that have literary value, not only in the scientific community, but also in the fields other valuable topics that could be provided. It is unbecoming of an encyclopedia's contributing editor to delete other editor's work when suspect work is considered outside the single-minded purpose, a very narrow vision of your world.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.230.15.99 (talk • contribs) 16:09, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- If the articles don't meet WP:Notability then they don't belong here. Plain and simple. --EarthPerson 16:16, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Again, exerting your sole opinion into the global community doesn't promote the flow of information. Now, isn't that dictating your world view?
StationNT5Bmedia— Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.230.15.99 (talk • contribs) 16:22, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- (I'm going to assume that User:4.230.15.99 and User:StationNT5Bmedia are one and the same. Please login though since if you have an ID you should use it.)
- The only opinion I have over the deleted article in question (R. Weldon Smith) is that it does not meet the needs of notability to allow it to be included in Wikipedia. Any other editor could have marked the article. (I'm not the one that deleted it if that is what you are thinking. Only administrators have that ability.) If a person is sufficiently notable other sources will write and report about them. That allows us to have sources to cite when writing articles.
- If I'm dictating [my] world view as you say by suggesting that non-notable articles be looked at to see if they need deleted, then there are many others here that share that view. Please find something to contribute. Look over the articles on amateur radio. You seem qualified to help out on those. --EarthPerson 16:43, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
This is an extreme learning curve for any editor. Slicing film reels, cropping photos, and text edits could be said "were so yesterday". But, the fact is that all media, including our partnered stations ABC13, MyFoxHouston, and the Houston Community Newspapers still have to do it. There are many IP addresses to this network of editors, so singling out one will only cause a change in the dynamic IP addresses. The username (StationNT5Bmedia) could be equal to any other contributor some day, given the opportunity to develope formats. Quickly deleting articles that took weeks to prepart with the push of a toggle could be considered as an unreignable power. Perhaps this bulletin board could be useful if an explanation could arrive on how to undash edits? Why are some fields dashed around the perimeter of the section, and others nicely quoted, without the border? StationNT5Bmedia
- Please take a look at Wikipedia:Introduction. I left a link to it on your talk page also. As for singling out a given IP, I saw in the article history that User:4.230.15.99 was the one that was making some edits. That is how I found out whose talk page to post to. Since the edit summaries were the same, I figured it was you (User:StationNT5Bmedia).
- By the way, you all editors are equal here. But not all are admins. But just because an admin has the keys as it were, does not mean that they aren't bound by the same rules. Again, I did not delete the articles. Please look in the logs page by article name and you can freely see who deleted what.
- As for dashed edits, they result when you start a paragraph with a space.
Like this.
- Look at the introduction. In the second tab, there is info on creating a first article. Read through it. You can try out anything in the sandbox.
- PS - If you put --~~~~ at the end of your posts on talk pages, it adds the username with link and the time and date.--EarthPerson 17:45, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for the timely reply. Your focus to the quality & formats of fellow Wikipedians in duly noted. The language still requires a mastery of publishing, and is learned, not natural. The sandbox is designed for mute results. Edits there do not go "live". It is a common practice in web edits not to "re-invent" the wheel. Templates useful in the general sense can be "tweeked" by those experienced in publishing that format. Wikipedians also learn to "speak" the language. Please continue at your convenience. The language may have some fluidity. StationNT5Bmedia
Kiki's Delivery Service
What, exactly, is your rationale for opposing the English name for Kiki's Delivery Service, which it has been published under? Is The Three Musketeers called Les Trois Mousquetaires? Romance of the Three Kingdoms Sanguo yanyi? The English name takes precedence, as this is the English Wikipedia. --Bakuryuu 19:07, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't oppose it that much or I'd moved the article back. :) I feel that since Majo... is the original title that it should be first in the article. I can live with the redirect. But, after all, the article on the book by JK Rowling reads "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, known in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,..." with the original title listed first. Admittedly these are both written in English. I've not looked over the specifics on articles on foreign books. Can you point me to the style guide for it?
- In the interest of consensus, we should probably have this discussion on the article's talk page.
- By the way, thank you very much for the translations of the other book titles. Could you make anything of the three listed at the bottom of that same page on Kadono's site? --EarthPerson 19:29, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Dwayne Buckle
I liked your expansion to the article. I was hoping others would expand it when i posted it. a friend of mine sent me some info on this yesterday and i went to wikipedia to read more and was shocked that there was no entry for Buckle so I created a short one myself in hopes that other people would come work on it. It was speedy deleted twice and on the third posting i added links so I could get it nominated for an AFD. At any rate if you think the article is worth keepin you had better vote at the AFD as it seems that so far i am the only one to feel that it is. --The Emperor of Wikipedia & Protector of Wiktionary 13:01, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Immigration Reform
Thank you for your mentoring. I value your feedback more than anyone else on the site, as you can see by the respect I have for keeping reference to pertinent topics. The article needing attention here was inviting however, since I have current information that is up to date of on-going reform in the hotly debated issues of immigration. I would like to distinquish the contribution as being reform for legal immigration.StationNT5Bmedia 04:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
This article that keeps reverting back to an unreferenced edit . . . several times by users not signed in using a dynamic IP address . . . this is not vandalism?
The unreferenced portions appear to lead to another topic . . . illegal immigration.
The addition that is being kept from remaining resident at the site concerns legal immigration. If you are interested in improving this article, I could work with you on seperating it into two issues: legal vs. illegal. Let me know your thoughts.StationNT5Bmedia 05:50, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Vandalized topics being discovered
Hi! I'm having a serious problem with User_talk:Kevin1243 . After having a look at his history pages, the SNEEKY VANDALISM issue comes to mind. The user with that screen name keeps altering text in many topics, then systematically tags them, then nominates them as Articles for Deletion. Is this begging the question? Does this user want to hack Wikipedia, and any contributions being made? Visit User_talk:Kevin1243 to see what this user has been up to. I would like an outsider's opinion of the contributions being made there, and since it is VANDALISM this user is doing, how to stop it. StationNT5Bmedia 00:56, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Note to self - replying on User talk:StationNT5Bmedia. I don't know why I'm being asked for an opinion on this. --EarthPerson 14:41, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Further Investigation of Vandals
Isn't it just a coincedence that two other online encyclopedia publications have a user with the screen name Kevin1243, and that there are numerous other web pages with that user name ie. http://www.faceparty.com/Kevin1243 . . . are alterior motives involved in this VANDALISM? Certainly an 18 year old can not be expected to have superior knowledge of other Wikipedians? The user asks for a consensus? Then proceeds to hack articles, and posts himself as an authority browsing new articles & contributions to the wealth of knowledge in the world ? The external link provided above may only scratch the surface. StationNT5Bmedia 01:57, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Note to self - replying on User talk:StationNT5Bmedia. I don't know why I'm being asked for an opinion on this. I don't think that all Kevin1243s on the internet are the same. And I don't know why this was not nested under the above comment. --EarthPerson 14:41, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Good Investment of Time
Hi! I read the comments about Immigration Reform & after following the article for a while, concluded that the essay on the 13th Annual Citizenship Day event wasn't broad enough to remain. The story can be found at ABC13online, in partnership with Houston Community Newspapers. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison writes a column there also. I think it's peculiar how her career has gone from journalist to statesperson. Comments at User_talk:StationNT5Bmedia remain in good form so far, and have target usefullness for browsing pertinent topics (ie. Kevin1243 & screen names for web sites outside of Wikipedia). I'll want to correspond there, when he reactivates his user name. I'm not speculating, but need to wait till he arrives back from vacation. Would it surprise him if one of his kids is using his screenname? StationNT5Bmedia 22:55, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Shenzhou
Thanks for the comments - Chinese space development has only now reached the position achieied by the USA, Russia (and in terms of capabilities, Europe) ~40 years ago. THis is beyond dispute - comparing the Shuttle to Shenzhou is equivalent to comparing a old-style mini to a Limo. Many of my associates are Chinese and they are on the whole smarter and more dedicated reseacrhers than myself - individuals are the same worldwide! However, that view does not extend to the nation state, Communism - supression of the individual, a closed, controled environment, lack of freedoms - all this will styma research and innovation and - just as with the USSR - collapse is inevitable! This is the context within which the core element of Chinese space reseacrh (that we know of)! must be viewed! My only defence here is that not only am I pursuing my current profession, but I formally trained as a historian, so have a firm belief in viewing developments in a rounded context! :-) GT009No1 P.S. I've tried to aleviate your worries about the use of the term "slant" - please feel free to edit the resultant paragraph!

I am responding to your question on Mr. Christain's support for the Vietnam Memorial. Please contact Jan Scruggs (founder of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial at jimb@usdreams.com for his statement of David. Scruggs is quoted on the back of the book Victor Six "Dave Christian was a significant part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial effort in Washington. When the memorial came under attack, "Dave Christian" charged forward. The Nation and I will always be thankful for Dave's courage." David worked on veteran's affairs under the Carter Administration until his outspokeness got him fired. When David was offered the head of the VA under the Reagan administration, he turned it down because he would not be able to function freely to get the benefits for our veterans and he pursued other avenues to get those benefits and was successful. 1.
