Clifton Hyde

Clifton Hyde (b. November 27th, 1976) is a Hattiesburg, Mississippi born guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist currently living and working in New York City. File:Http://myspace-750.vo.llnwd.net/01337/05/70/1337550750 l.jpg As a sideman he is often seen playing Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Resonator Guitar, Baritone Guitar, Slide Guitar, Mandolin, Lap Steel, Piano, Organ, Ukulele, C melody saxophone, Electric & Double Basses.

Covering styles as diverse as Mississippi Delta Blues, Avant Garde, Metal, Country, Rock, Modern Classical, and Dixieland/Gypsy Jazz he has performed alongside such notable musicians as Joe McPhee, Lou Reed, Sigur Ros, Trevor Dunn (John Zorn/Mr. Bungle), Julee Cruise, Niobe, Pape Armond Boye, Billy Hart, Kenny Wollesen, Dominic Duval, Joseph Woullard, Paul Hartsaw, James Apollo, Joe Exley, Stefan Zeniuk, & Jesse Selengut.

He has also collaborated with the sculptures of French artist, Alain Kirili and the paintings of artist Lou Rizzolo for the World Peace Art Initiative in Stavanger, Norway. He has composed modern classical music for modern dance choreographer, Janis Brenner.
