Nathan Horton (born May 29, 1985 in Welland, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian ice hockey Centre who currently plays for the Florida Panthers of the NHL.
After two highly successful years with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, Horton was drafted 3rd overall by the Panthers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and played 55 games, scoring 14 goals and 8 assists for 22 points and 57 penalty minutes in his rookie season. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Horton played for the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.
After early in his career where he was hung with a stigma of being injury-prone after suffering a series of shoulder injuries, Horton missed only nine games in 2005-06 and played all 82 games in 2006-07. Horton would also have a career-best 62-point season (31 goals, 31 assists) in 2006-07.
