SummerSlam 2007 is the twentieth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event for World Wrestling Entertainment. It will take place on August 26 2007 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The official theme song is "Whine Up" by Kat DeLuna feat. Elephant Man. The tagline for the event is "The Party is Over".
The event was officially announced at the end of a RAW house show on December 28 2006 held at the arena. Tickets for SummerSlam 2007 went on sale on December 30, and sold out in 40 minutes.[1]
Original plans included the cast of Jackass participating in some way, with promotional materials including a teaser with the Jackass flag/logo and theme music during the One Night Stand and Vengeance shows in June, as well as a poster with Umaga and the cast[2], replacing one featuring Rey Mysterio. [3]
