Emerse Faé (born 24 January 1984 in Nantes) is a French-born professional football midfielder who plays for English Premier League club Reading, and Côte d'Ivoire.

As a teenager, Faé played football for the French U17 and U21 teams, winning the World U17 Championship in Trinidad and Tobago in 2001. However, in 2005, following a FIFA rule change concerning national team eligibility, Faé switched allegiances from France, to Côte d'Ivoire, the country from which his parents had come. Following this, he was called up to the Côte d'Ivoire national team, and played for the country during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Faé had been strongly linked with a move to English Premier League club Reading during the summer 2007 transfer window, and eventually completed a move on 2 August 2007[1], signing a three-year contract, with the option of a fourth. He was given the number 20 shirt.[2]

Emerse Fae made his debut for Reading in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the Madejski Stadium on 15th August 2007, he was sent off for a second bookable offence after a controversial challenge on Claudio Pizarro.
