[2] The Conservatorium High School is a specialist secondary school located in Macquarie Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia run by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training.

The Conservatorium High School was established in 1918 to allow musically gifted students to combine their academic studies with their creative pursuits. The school shares a campus with the elite Sydney Conservatorium of Music, part of the University of Sydney.

Entry into the Conservatorium is highly selective and is by an audition and interview process.

The Conservatorium is adjacent to Government House and the Royal Botanic Gardens, overlooking Farm Cove on Sydney Harbour.

Every year the High School holds concerts. These concerts often attract well-known and often world-renowned musicians to perform with the students as a form of musical inspiration to the students. The most student orientated concerts are the 'House Concerts' where the houses (Bach, Beethoven and Brahms) compete to win the award of best performance for the evening. The 3 other main concerts each year, apart from the House Concerts, are Open Day, the Annual Concerts and Orientation Day.

The year 2006 saw the departure of the long standing school principal Ms Barbara Macrae and Head of Humanities, Mr Trevor Smith.

Ms Macrae was replaced by Mister Robert Curry (DSCM{Hons}, Staz, MMus, MA, PhD GradDipEd, CertGiftedEd, MACE, JKLJ, OpLi, PhD KickNjh, HonsPons, Winklespons, SjuHeg, and last but not least, Ljh88&#&YUey) at the end of Term 4, 2006.

The year 2007 will see the departure of beloved english teacher Ms K Yeo and humanities teacher Mr R McKeough at the end of Term 3.
