Sunlake High School is a public high school in Pasco County located in the Concord Station development in Land O' Lakes, Florida. Part of Pasco County Schools, it opened in August 2007 with 12,003 students in grades 9-11. It will not open with a senior class. Sunlake is expected to relieve overcrowding at Land O' Lakes High School. Angie Stone, formerly of Hudson High School was named principal. Kim Davis, a former district supervisor of science curriculum, and Garry Walthall, formerly of J.W. Mitchell High School, were named assistant principals. It was announced that the mascot is the Seahawks.
Boundaries
The school board approved boundaries for Sunlake High in February. Students living east of the Suncoast Parkway, south of Bell Lake Road and west of Old County Line road will attend Sunlake. Ivy Lake Estates, which is just west of the Suncoast Parkway is zoned for Longleaf Elementary in New Port Richey, but will also be zoned for Charles S. Rushe Middle and Sunlake High, whereas it is currently zoned for J.W. Mitchell High School and Seven Springs Middle School.
