Filipeanut (12 August 1982 – Present) is a Filipino American who occasionally updates a blog in his name and considers himself to be the worst Filipino rapper in the history of the human race and Earth. He produces songs once every few months and posts them online. He began making music soon after the stroke of his mother, whom he cared for from August of 2005 to February of 2007, in which time he made 25 songs and "podcasted" them on the iTunes music service.
Biography
Filipeanut was born in St. Lukes Hospital at 5:13 PM in San Francisco, California in 1982[citation needed]. Filipeanut currently resides in Daly City, California with his mother's best friend and her family.
Family
Filipeanut's father, Albert Enero Balbutin, left for the United States from the Philippines in 1925[citation needed], only to return to the Philippines in 1980 to meet and eventually marry Memie Manding, Filipeanut's mother[citation needed].
Filipeanut would then join his parents in subsequent trips to the Philippines, once at the age of 4 and again at the age of 6, thus beginning Filipeanut's connection to his family in the Philippines.
The life of Albert Enero Balbutin before his death is unknown to Filipeanut. Many of Albert Enero Balbutin's friends and family have long since passed away. Albert Enero Balbutin himself passed away in October of 1989 when Filipeanut was seven years old.
Filipeanut has no siblings, but believes that family can extend further than that of blood relatives, as he has learned growing up as an only child to a single mother.
After the death of Albert Enero Balbutin, Filipeanut's mother Memie Balbutin soon found herself alone in the United States, still adjusting to life in a new country. In 1991, a relative convinced her to join him in a real estate deal, using her husband's property as leverage. A few years into the investment, the relative stopped paying his share of the mortgage and Memie's home was headed toward foreclosure. This was soon halted, thanks in part to friends and trust worthy family who agreed to rent rooms in Memie's home to take care of the payments. This, coupled with more trips to his mother's home province of Bohol, strengthened Filipeanut's bond with his mother, her friends and family, as well as Filipino culture and livelihood.
