Wikipedia: Delted Page Birmingham St Mary's Hospice

Can you provide further explanation as for you reasons for deleting this page, the information is being added slowly we learn the requirements on Wikipedia, according to our understanding from the notability guidelines as a charitable organizaiton we can have an entry.

Regards BSMH —Preceding comment was added at 11:21, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There must be independent, reliable sources shown in the article to assert notability of the organisation, even though it is non-profit. None were present in the article. Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 16:03, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Why are you deleting my info on Tribein? It has been reviewed favorably by killerstartups and is gaining quite a fan following. I intend to add to the page as I get more information. Please undelete. Thanks hinduzionkafir

Not done Nope, a single review on a blog does not constitute sufficient evidence of notability. Resurgent insurgent 00:08, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your work. You only did half of the work though, Industrial Estates in Malta was not updated. I'll do it. 「ѕʀʟ·」 15:25, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, probably not, that comment was a little misguided anyway, even if I knew I'd be blasting pages into digital oblivion. My time-traveling self would still need to to something to make sure WP:NCR is made though. It's an important policy. :) Cheers! Dfrg.msc 01:06, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The edit summary said this was related to the above section. Thanks for tipping me off to WP:NCR, I'll make sure I don't break it. 「ѕʀʟ·」 17:50, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SEO Company deletion

Just wondering why this page was deleted? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=delete&user=&page=SEO+Company

Bobmutch 07:51, October 27 2007 (UTC)

It did not assert how the company is notable. Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 07:15, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeshiva World news

I would appreciate if it is put back up as I spent time writing that and editing it - I added many sources to back up the article.

At least have it disscused - don't delete it. Please comment back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AEFreedy (talkcontribs) 03:53, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy, I spotted on recent changes your deletion of the image Image:How a bill becomes a law. I am not sure that is actually a copyvio. The image is hosted on the clerk kids website (a federal website which would seem to indicate that a federal employee made it, putting it in the public domain). I have no vested interest in the picture, and nothing links to it (I can't imagine what would) but for the sake of getting it right... Thanks, --TeaDrinker 05:55, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ben York

I hope you can un-delete the Ben York article. In the Ben York talk page I explain how Ben is a notable entry. I can cite two of Ben's employers if it will help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tbrewste (talkcontribs) 13:18, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 Not done Nope, no independent, third-party sources = non-notable. Resurgent insurgent 00:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Boras's client list is notable

Greetings,

I didn't see the proposal for deletion on Clients of Scott Boras, or I would have contested it.

I would describe the infomation as notable, because Scott Boras is an influential and controversial baseball agent, and it's reasonable to want a compiled list of the players he represents, especially since his company does not release this information.

Sourcing would be slow, but it is far from impossible. Because every major league baseball team is covered by one or more print newspapers, it is simple to connect a player with a published newspaper article that confirms Boras as his agent. For example, Kyle Lohse: http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071008/SPORTS01/710080351/1021/rss0206 .

I'd recommend that the article be reinstated, with a template noting that it needs improved sourcing.

Thanks. Matuszek 00:59, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done Restored and listed on AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clients of Scott Boras. Resurgent insurgent 01:51, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why you deleted my BioMAJ

I tried to edit the content so many times. Why was it deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikibm (talkcontribs) 08:33, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It showed no evidence of notability. Resurgent insurgent 12:54, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I really need the BioMAJ to be up again. I want to provide some information about this to a lot of biological researchers in France. I will re-write the content of the page to meet the criteria of wikipedia. Could you please take the BioMAJ page out of the protected list?

Thanks! Wikibm 13:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The article will not be restored unless you provide the aforementioned evidence of notability. If you don't have any, you can show them the text of your presentation by clicking here, or show them a presentation on the software using Powerpoint / Openoffice.org Impress / IBM LOtus Symphony Presentations. Resurgent insurgent 13:36, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can find the user manual/presentation of the software here @ http://biomaj.genouest.org/download/UsersGuide_BioMAJ.pdf. Thanks! Wikibm 14:00, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do not see how having a user manual makes a product notable. Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 03:18, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if I did the {{db-move}} thing wrong, but you got it backwards. Anna Song was supposed to be moved to Anna Song (journalist). Thanks. Katr67 03:50, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I see it's fixed now. Thanks! Katr67 03:51, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you provide a reason for the speedy delete of the page? There are many other similar pages on wikipedia. Regards, Claudiu —Preceding unsigned comment added by Livcc (talkcontribs) 21:17, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was no assertion of the company's notability in the page. Thus, deletion.
"There are many other similar pages" is no reason to keep one page. The others are simply waiting to be deleted as well. Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 21:43, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am frequently confused by the processes on Wikipedia, so, if I am making mistakes here, please just let me know. You have deleted the "Speedy" notice I put on this article and given a reason in your Summary only. I believe what is expected is that you would, first, leave the Speedy notice in place and second, write "hang on" and your explanation for challenging the speedy on the discussion page for the article. I am holding off from undoing your changes, hoping either to hear about my mistake or that you have followed what I think is the process. Of course, if you are an Admin, then this doesn't apply. Could you let me know, please? Bielle 05:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'm an admin. Resurgent insurgent 05:01, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That was fast. Thank you. I didn't see the symbol at the top of the page, and forgot to check the bottom. Good thing I asked! :-) Bielle 05:06, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Admin?

Hello Resurgent insurgent. With respect to your comment above ("Well, I'm an admin"), is there some way you could verify that? I only ask because there is no evidence in your logs you have ever used sysop tools and you are not listed at Special:Listusers/sysop, all of which would suggest you are in fact not an admin. I appreciate you claim to be a alternative account of Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh (talk · contribs) (who is a sysop), but it really isn't appropriate to be doing janitorial tasks with a sock puppet account. If I am missing something here, please forgive me, but otherwise it might be a good idea to keep track of what account you are logged in on in future, lest this one get blocked for impersonating an admin. Rockpocket 06:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Will this diff suffice as explanation? Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 04:06, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It explains that you are indeed an alternative account of an admin, thank you. However, if you intend to do administrative tasks from this account in future, you should request the sysop status be transferred from you other account. Please consider:
  • Wikipedia:Administrators: "Although multiple user accounts are allowed on Wikipedia in certain circumstances, only one account of a given person should have administrative tools."
  • Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Administrative sock puppets: "The community has strongly rejected users having more than one username with admin powers... only one account with access greater than that of a normal user account should be operated."

Deletion of 'Zanpo Virtual Cities'

Hello, may I ask why you deleted Zanpo Virtual Cities? The article contained suitable, factual information. I therefore demand the article to be undeleted. Thankyou mery much, LAsh09 07:15, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The content was more suitable for GameFAQs than on Wikipedia because it did not say at all how the game is notable. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zanpo where an older article on this game was deleted. Resurgent insurgent 07:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
